Battle Hymn Tribute Tee

Defender Gear releases this memorable tribute tee to Julia Ward Howe who wrote the words to the classic patriotic song, "Battle Hymn of the Republic."

The American Civil War had just recently erupted and the American writer, Julia Ward Howe, was encouraged to pen new words for the Union fighting men's song. While staying in Washington on the night of November 18, 1861, she recalled being awoken in the middle of the night with the words of the poem racing through her mind.  She sprang to her feet and in a hurry to record her vision, she penned what has become one of the most inspiring patriotic songs of the ages.

We should not only remember that Christ died to make men holy and likewise we die with Him, but we should also live for Him to make men free!
