We have spent the balance of 2024 answering this question – “Saving Democracy?” The left has claimed that has been its sole focus. What is wild is that they continue to do anything but save it.
The latest blunder is ignoring any sort of due process and just deciding that Vice President Kamala Harris will represent the left before the Democratic National Convention in August. Liberal groups including Black Lives Matter have called the party out for its gross hypocrisy. They went off in a recent statement posted to their website saying,
“Democratic Party elites and billionaire donors are attempting to manipulate Black voters by anointing Kamala Harris and an unknown vice president as the new Democratic ticket without a primary vote by the public. This blatant disregard for democratic principles is unacceptable. While the potential outcome of a Harris presidency may be historic, the process to achieve it must align with true democratic values. We have no idea where Kamala Harris stands on the issues, now that she has assumed Joe Biden’s place, and we have no idea of the record of her potential vice president because we don’t even know who it is yet.”
They go on to say,
“We do not live in a dictatorship. Delegates are not oligarchs. Any attempt to evade or override the will of voters in our primary system—no matter how historic the candidate—must be condemned. We demand an informal, virtual snap primary now that the incumbent president is no longer in the running.”
These are STRONG words from a group of people that were so involved in the last election.
It is wild to me to think that groups like this cannot stay silent continuing to toe the party line.
What happens to the now useless votes from the primary?
What happens to the millions of dollars raised for President Biden?
To say this is a mess is an understatement.
Meanwhile, the left also tried to do a list of things to President Trump like impeaching him twice, charging him with felonies, bankrupting him and his family, and most recently killing him, but Trump continues to live and fight.
This fighting spirit is what America has been built on and he is gaining steam.
President Trump is now in the position to focus his campaign on doing what it will take to finish this election. The question is what does the left have up their sleeve. They always have something, and I have a feeling this is not over.
As you watch the news and learn about the things that are happening around us, please continue to view things through the lenses our Founders gave us. Our country was birthed on the dream of small government which was elected by the people with a sound constitutional republic to lead the way where its citizens could live in liberty and freedom.
This isn’t over…it’s just starting to get good. Grab your popcorn and keep praying for our nation and its leaders. There is hope in the air, and we are on the right track!
