Saving Democracy? How Could you vote for THAT guy?

Saving Democracy? How Could you vote for THAT guy?

We are a just days away from the general election to choose our next president, and almost to the end of our series titled, “Saving Democracy?”

The question I continue to get asked is “How could you vote for THAT guy?!” It is strange to me that people would think I would vote for a personality, but that could not be farther from the truth.

My argument to those that confront me is: “Have you considered that the person you vote for solely based on likability could actually be devastating to your children and generations to come because they no longer live in a free country?”

If the American public chose to elect solely on personality, then we all lose. Candidates can possess a magnetic charisma that draws people in and garners influence. However, it does NOT mean they are qualified leaders or that they stand for America.

Vice President Harris has been involved with every policy decision of the Biden administration. Border security, foreign policy, economy, crime, and individual liberties are just a few of the lines on their resume. What about her performance justifies a promotion to the nation’s highest office? Think about it.

I realize that former President Donald Trump has more than his fair share of personality irritants. Yet rationally, he does have a track record with the economy, foreign policy, border security, law and order, religious freedom, among others. Now you see a coalition of Elon, Tulsi, Vivek and RFK to assist him. Pretty compelling if you ask me.

Whether or not a candidate has strong people skills does not determine whether they care about our country.

We need to elect leaders that defend the Constitution and our Bill of Rights. Do they believe in Freedom of Speech to the point that our citizens should not be afraid of government retaliation, getting cancelled, or put in jail?

Our citizens should be able to bear arms per the 2nd Amendment in order to defend their loved ones, homes, and themselves.

When it comes to voting, the Electoral College was designed for a reason, and it was to prohibit mob rule in large metropolitan areas. Cities like New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, and Los Angeles cannot collude and dictate who our elected officials are.

Extreme liberal judges cannot pass verdicts that are anti-American that reduce or eliminate our citizens’ rights.

I am voting for a president that believes in border security, specifically the southern border. There is a proper and prudent process for immigrating to our great nation. If people want to be an American, it is possible, but there is a right way and wrong way to do it. We cannot continue to turn a blind eye to lethal criminals using our country as their personal safe house. Just because most people don’t live in places like Laredo, TX or Nogales, AZ does not mean the border issue is not real and happening.

I agree with our Founders that our government should be small and not be used as an institution to redistribute hard-earned wealth in the name of fairness.

I support a free market with free enterprise that rewards innovation, creativity, and healthy competition for the good of its citizens. Our country grows when competition exists. Prices drop, new services and solutions are born, and we make a better living.

We need a leader who props up our law enforcement and reminds our citizens to comply with the men and women trying to protect us from harm.

I am voting for a Commander-in-Chief who understands and drives America-first policies. Someone who spends money on our country first before sending billions of dollars overseas to support unnecessary conflicts.

We continue to lose unborn children without enough people to defend their right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Instead, the unborn have to battle against people who believe they can decide whether they live or die. How many great leaders, inventors, engineers, and scientists have died at the hands of convenience?

Meanwhile former President Clinton was out campaigning for Vice President Kamala Harris and said, "’America is not having enough babies to keep our populations up, so we need immigrants that have been vetted to do work,’ Clinton said Sunday (October 13, 2024) at a campaign event for Vice President Kamala Harris in Fort Valley, Georgia.

Clinton reiterated his stance at a separate event in Columbus, Georgia, where he said: ‘We got the lowest birth rate we've had in well over 100 years. We're not at replacement level, which means we got to have somebody come here if we want to keep growing the economy.’" So now we do not have enough people, which is why we need more immigrants. I think if abortion had been banned a long time ago, we might have been able to fix that problem since over one million abortions were performed in 2023 alone. Seems like a pretty wild solution from our former president, don’t you think?

Finally, I want to support a presidential candidate that is willing to take on public schools to make them safe again, both from violence and from encouraging childhood gender mutilation. Our kids have got to be safe and they should be able to trust their teachers and administrators from turning personal preferences into celebrated, life-altering choices.

Patriots, we cannot vote for personality, but instead it must be America-first policies. Therefore, if anyone asks you how you could vote for “that guy”, do me a favor. Take a few minutes and educate them and help them understand why policy “trumps” personality. See what I did there?
