How DOGE is Eliminating Wasteful Spending at a New Level
By now the entire nation is aware that President Trump is following through with his
campaign promise to identify and eliminate spending that is wasteful, fraudulent, and
abusive. This move has caused many on the liberal left to lose their minds about what
has been found and the embarrassment that goes along with it. Unfortunately, no one is
taking responsibility for what has happened. Instead, it has been a full court press of
excuses and defensiveness.
John Stewart, host of The Daily Show has been shockingly supportive of DOGE. In fact,
he was on C-SPAN interviewing Defense Deputy Secretary, Kathleen Hicks and
questioning the Defense Department’s spending habits that were discovered during the
audit and Ms. Hicks gets aggressively defensive.
Take a look.

Most of the time, people get extremely defensive when there are things to hide, and
there are trillions of things to hide. She also used a couple more tactics – one was to
laugh when she got uncomfortable and the other was to try to talk down to John Stewart to intimidate him. His high emotional intelligence was on display as he humbly asked questions, which were the same questions that regardless of party, all Americans
should be asking.
Fox News published an article about DOGE’s Top 5 Most Shocking Revelations.
We will add the link here, but the list is amazing:
1. The Iron Mountain Mine Nightmare dealing with how federal employees’
retirements are processed.
2. The EPA’s located $20bil in waste
3. FEMA giving over $59mil to illegal immigrants in luxury New York hotels
4. Pentagon wasting thousands on coffee cups and soap dispensers
5. Questionable spending in USAID’s $40bil budget including Sesame Street in Iraq
This is just the beginning as DOGE has just started.
Now, to be fair, other presidents have gone after wasteful spending as well. President
Obama signed an executive order in November of 2011 to cut waste and promote
efficient spending across the federal government. This also cost some Americans their
jobs and of course the liberal media used their spin machine to make this good. The
current media spin machine is making cutting costs and identifying these bad habits as
somehow evil.
President Clinton did the same thing. It was called the Federal Restructuring Act of
1994. According to the NPR archives, between 1993 and 1999 he eliminated 377,000
full-time jobs. Clinton put it like this:
"After all the rhetoric about cutting the size and cost of Government, our administration
has done the hard work and made the tough choices" Clinton said in a statement.
"I believe the economy will be stronger, and the lives of middle class people will be better, as we drive down the deficit with legislation like this"
The legislation was an outgrowth of Clinton’s National Performance Review,
which launched in March 1993 with the slogan "Make Government Work Better and Cost Less."; Clinton appointed Vice President Al Gore to lead the review and issue a
report within six months.
The outcome was four years of the country finishing with a federal surplus for the first
time in recent history from 1998 to 2001.
Therefore what is happening with DOGE is not out of the ordinary, but what is shocking
is how bad things have gotten and how the media makes this a bad thing. When there is
no accountability, financial discipline disappears, and things get completely out of
control.
Let’s stay positive and continue to cheer when the good guys win!
